Last weekend we went up to visit Nana and GrapeNana. There was an EPIC amount of snow, and the entire trip from start to finish was all about monitoring the news to see when/if schools were going to be closed as an indicator of road conditions.
We arrived up there safe, and made it back to The Suburban Farm safe. This was Charlie’s first trip out of town with us, and it looks like he’s going to be a great traveling companion. I can’t wait to take him camping with us this summer.
Also, since he’s been raised with cats, it seems that he doesn't know that dogs are non-arboreal. So Team Chicken has a climbing beagle, and a small where-in-the-hell-are-we-going-to-put-the-cat-food-now problem.
While we were in PA, Auntie Jen built an awesome snow fort for the kids, and we slid in Nada’s yard on the Spooner boards. We visited GrapeNana who’s taken to time traveling and isn't fully cognizant of what’s happening, but she got a total kick out of the kids visiting and even cracked three separate jokes about them. It was really good.
We’re also going to experiment with homemade deodorant some point in the nearish future, but that may be a March project as February appears to be almost over.
